Franklinton Tutoring Program

Have you watched the news and seen how kids are struggling in your city?  Did you notice a need for responsible, caring adults in the lives of inner-city kids?
The Franklinton Tutoring Program offers you a chance to make an impact on your city!  Meet one-on-one with a child during your lunch hour who is struggling in reading…it can change their life!

You don’t have to be a reading teacher to tutor a child—we’ll teach you the methods and we’ll be there at the school to help you throughout the year.

The tutoring takes place during the school’s lunch hour on a day of the week that is best for you. Each tutor is assigned to a student and is provided with a folder of materials appropriate for the student’s reading level.

To apply to the program you will need:

Tutoring will start the week of October 3, 2011. We’ll give you orientation dates and information once you apply.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you again for your desire to make a difference in the life of an inner city child!

Sincerely,

Anna Knotts
Director, Franklinton Tutoring Program
